We are fairly new at doing bed and breakfast in our farm house. Last year we had people staying from all over the world and we can't wait for this season to start.
The Seville marmalade has been made, the sourdough starter is gently bobbling away in the fridge and the many ideas of what to serve are being tried and tested.
The South room is the bigger of the two and looks straight down the sound towards Shuna and Scarba. The East room looks up the sound towards the Bridge, and is slightly smaller.
After you arrive in the afternoon, you can enjoy our homemade baking and as much tea as you need to replenish you after a day of travels, sit down and enjoy the tranquillity of the room and the outstanding views. In the evenings we will have the fire on and you can enjoy a dram while you plan your next day of relaxing or adventure before you go upstairs to your room.
In the mornings we serve breakfast in our big open plan room and invite you to enjoy our sourdough bread, made with wild yeast and organic flour, porridge with syrup of wild cherries from our shore. If you want a more traditional breakfast we serve black pudding, homemade baked beans and bacon, home made marmalade, eggs from our own happy hens, fresh fruits. The list is endless as the ideas crop up.
We live in hope, and on sunny days we have breakfast outside.
